Empowering PNW Communities to Keep Forests Healthy
Forest Health Watch Land Acknowledgment
The Forest Health Watch Program acknowledges that
we explore, study, discover, and teach on the ancestral lands of many indigenous communities.
We recognize our laboratory is located on the sacred lands of Coast Salish people and sits on the traditional homeland of the Puyallup Tribe of Indians.
We acknowledge our responsibility to establish and maintain
relationships with the Native peoples of the Pacific Northwest.
We commit to act in support of tribal sovereignty and the inclusion of tribal voices in our initiatives and activities.
