Community Enhanced Biosurveillance

Biosecurity is a shared responsibility

Insect pests and plant-harming microbes are accidentally introduced to new areas too often. Preventing their impacts is up to us. We can protect our forests through biosurveillance. Report unhealthy plants or contact us if you notice unusual dieback.

Invasive species don't know borders

Trying to control invasive species on one side of a fence is ineffective. Together, we can reduce their impacts by working across sectors and borders as community scientists.

Mind your step

Boot cleaning stations are effective for preventing the spread of invasive species. But only if we use them. Please remove the excess soil and plant seeds from your boots at the beginning and end of your hikes.
